A Message From Papaver:

"Hi there, friend! History can sometimes feel big or a little lonely, like looking at ghosts in the shadows. But when we hold our torches high together, we bring those memories into the warm light. Follow my flame, and let’s walk across the Wonderous Stories Bridge!"

The Secret of His Torch

Papaver’s torch isn't a flashlight with batteries—it runs on something much more powerful!

  • The Flame: Powered by Remembrance and Gratitude. As long as we remember the brave soldiers and say "thank you" in our hearts, his torch will never go out.

  • The Letters "R-G": Look closely at the gold metal on his torch. Do you see the letters R-G? They stand for Remembrance-Gratitude.

  • The Path: Papaver uses this flame to light up parts of history, turning them into warm, bright stories we can all understand.

The Spark That Started It All

Before we cross the Wonderous Stories Bridge, let’s look back at the famous poem that inspired our journey. Pay close attention to the end, where a very special torch is passed to us...

In Flanders Fields

By John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
